Step One:
Open the Evernote application.

Step Two:
Open the desired note or open a new note to get started.

Step three:
Press on the audio recording button.
(Small Microphone Icon in the upper right hand section of the visible window)

Note: while typing your notes, the audio will continue to record the lecture/ presentation. This can be seen in the rising and falling of the decibel meter.
