Michael Boldezar

Hi, I am Michael Boldezar and am a senior here at Burlington High School. I enjoy playing video games, learning about new technologies, and also learning about AI. Some of my favorite video games include MLB the Show and Madden. New technologies like the Meta Glasses really interest me as I am curious to how they fit so much technology in eye glasses. I decided to join the help desk class as I want to deepen my understanding of different forms of technology, new devices, and different AI platforms like Meta, Gemini, etc. I think that technology including AI is going to be extremely useful in my future. I plan to study finance in college where I will most likely be attending UMass Amherst’s Isenberg School of Management. I hope to one day open up an investment bank or build a company from the ground up using new technology. I am excited to learn more about technology and hope that I learn a lot of valuable information for my future.

I took this class because we use technology so much in everyday life and it is important to understand how it works so this class can help me be better at using technology. Also  technology is used in school a lot as well so learning how to use it can help me learn more as well.  My career interest is something to do with business. I plan to major in finance when I go to college and I also am going to play basketball in college. Some of the other things I do outside of school are golf and basketball.  I also enjoy hanging out with my friends and having fun.

My name is Joseph Gerrior and I am a sophomore in high school. I have a strong interest in technology, especially learning how to work with drones and understand how different technologies operate. While I struggle a bit with coding, I’m motivated to improve and continue learning. I decided to join Mr Wong’s Help Desk because technology has always interested me, and having friends in the class made it an easy choice. Being part of the Help Desk class also allows me to gain hands-on experience and problem-solving skills. My main career goal is to become a police officer because I want to help others and serve my community. Outside of school I’m passionate about football and cooking which are my two favorite hobbies.

My name is Mehran Khaleel and I am a senior at Burlington High School. I have always been interested in technology whether it was playing video games like FIFA, Fortnite, and Assetto Corsa or designing a robot with the robotics team. Outside of technology I like to play pickleball, hike, and hang out with my friends. I decided to join the Game Design class because I was interested in learning how to build the games that I play. I was also interested in learning more about unity as I have tried it before and want to further explore how to use it. In the future, I would like to pursue a career in chemical engineering. I have a love for chemistry and engineering and the sound of designing various products and trying to make the world a better place is something I am passionate about.

I’m the type of person who normally keeps my stuff short when sharing it but here it goes. My name is Nick Guerrero, at the time of writing this I’m in my junior year of high school as part of the class of 2027 in Burlington, MA. I’m honestly just interested in just learning how coding works for the fun of it and just hoping to get something out of it since technology for me is just stressful in general, which is also the same reason I decided to do the Help Desk class. Career wise, I never wanted to do tech due to its complex readings, but rather I’ve always wanted to serve in the armed forces since my elementary school days since my older brother served with the Marines. I choose to serve in the Air Force in hopes of becoming a TACP. I love anything military related: history, movies, documentaries, and video games, along with old 2000s music related to metal: Metalcore, Deathcore, Post- Hardcore, and Emo. And that’s the basics down for me. Also, Don’t Go Chasing Waterfalls.

Hi, my name is Victor Lule and I am a sophomore at Burlington High School. I play soccer and also do indoor track. I like to watch the NFL and the NBA. My favorite classes are ELA and History.I find them interesting. My least favorite class is math. I am interested in learning more about the origin of technology and how we were able to advance to this point in technology. I also want to learn more about the course technology will be in the future and how to utilize technology better. I decided to take Help Desk because I believe I could get a deeper understanding of technology’s past and how we could utilize it better to advance faster through this class. This would also involve the good and bad impacts that come from technology. Things in technology that really interest me are VR headsets, artificial intelligence and more. I also took this class because I want to expand my options for my career and I believe this is a plausible option.

Hi my name is Shayba , and I am a senior at Burlington High School. I was recommended to take this class by a few classmates and friends. I am excited to be a part of the Help Desk Program this semester because of my interest to learn more about technology and helping others. I would enjoy learning as much as I can about technology before I go off to college. Learning the dangers and benefits has always been an interest of mine and how it can be used correctly in everyday situations. 

I work at Lahey Hospital in Burlington and I work in the Diet Office. My job consists of me making phone calls to patients, nurses, and dietitians to place food and tube food orders. We use computers to do the majority of our work and a software called Epic to keep track of all the work we do. I hope to strengthen my ability to utilize technology as well as my communication skills throughout the year.

Apart from technology, I am involved in school and my other personal goals that have made me who I am today. I currently work in a hospital as a Diet Office Clerk but I am also a Certified Nursing Assistant, both of these accomplishments have taught me the importance of professionalism, teamwork, and communication skills.  Hopefully I can apply these skills while being a part of the Help Desk team.

In the fall I will be attending Coppin State University in Baltimore, Maryland to study Nursing and pursue a career in healthcare.

My name is Ian Mohr, And the type of things I love to do is skateboard and Make music, the type of music i make is heavy metal and Nu Metal, I also have some interest in the AI music industry and how its become to a point of how scary it is for AI to take over music, But I hope for my future to be successful of course, I plan on joining the military soon and hopefully moving out of the states again. I also hope to learn more about coding music in the sonic PI software. I think that’ll be a really cool thing to know and learn.

Hello, my name is Joshua Newhall but I prefer to go by Josh. I am a Senior at Burlington High School. The sports I play are Soccer, and my position is midfield. I also run track in the winter and spring. I like to watch basketball and my favorite team is the Celtics. I am interested in computer science and game design as well. My Favorite classes would be History and Science, because I find them interesting. My least favorite class is math because I have never been too good with shapes or angles. I decided to join the help desk and game design classes because I am interested in technology and how great of an impact it has caused to everyone for the good and bad. I also took these classes to help further my learning about what I’m interested in, and could give me options for a career in my future. Hi, My name is Alex Lalayan, I am a junior at Burlington High School.  I like using technology for many different reasons such as, talking to my friends, playing music, playing games, watching videos, or even seeing what is happening in the world with things like social media. My favorite games to play are 2K, Fortnite, Rocket League, and most of the sports games. A lot of my other interests include going out with my friends, playing sports, and spending time with my family. I play club soccer, and soccer at Burlington High School. Soccer is my true passion and I have been playing since I was very young. The reason I took this class is because I want to really understand what I like to look at everyday. Technology is a huge part of our lives and today and I want to understand what goes into it. Also I want to pursue something like Real Estate or joining my family’s jewelry business after high school. Both things need technology for things like advertising, and getting customers.

In the first few classes here in Mr. Wong’s class the main focus has really been on AI(Artificial Intelligence), the advancements it has made, and really overall just what it is capable of now. The example used in class was a website called notebooklm, it is a really fascinating website that really shows the advancements ai has made. Through NotebookLM you give the AI a prompt, anything you desire, and it will review the topic, research the internet about the topic to the best of its ability, then you have a few different options of what you want it to do with that information. It can make a podcast talking about it, using AI generated voices which are creepily human sounding, it is almost impossible to tell which is really intriguing to me. I had it make a podcast on Tiger Woods 2000 Pebble beach U.S Open win, it was insanely good, if I didn’t know it was AI I would genuinely believe it was a real podcast. I haven’t tried any of the other advancements but it can do multiple other things such as making a short video, flash cards, quizzes, and even a data table. It’s better than other ai like Chat GPT because it isn’t just giving you information, but instead helping you learn. Notebooklm is a fascinating website that really shows the advancements and capabilities of AI nowadays.

I am an exchange student from Sweden and am living here with my grandparents for a year and doing my last year of high school here. My name is Afya Shaikh and I am a junior at BHS. I am excited to be a part of the Technology Exploration program this year and to learn more about how technology can be used in meaningful ways. I am interested in clinical AI and game design, and I love to explore how technology can solve real-world problems. I want to learn how to create games in Unity. I have some experience coding in Lua and Python, and I hope to learn more about different coding languages in this class. I decided to join this class because I wanted to expand my knowledge of technology and challenge myself to learn new skills. Technology is always evolving and I want to learn how to be a part of those changes.I hope this class will help me build a stronger understanding of different technologies and learn new skills. My career interests are in STEM, especially in areas that use technology to help improve other’s lives. More about me is I have two older brothers, who are my biggest inspirations, and I love to collect keychains from different places I have been.

Shane Sheehan

Hi my name is Shane Sheehan & I am a junior in high school. My interests are playing sports such as football, and running and jumping at track. I don’t like to have too much free time because I get bored so I try to stay as productive as possible. Football is in the fall and a little bit in the summer and track is in the winter and spring. I like football because you can just release anger on the opponents and have fun with your friends while doing so. It also makes me stronger, faster and keeps me in shape. I like track because it’s individual and you can’t blame anyone else for mistakes. I mainly long jump, I started it my freshman year and made nationals twice. I decided to join the help desk because a lot of people said it was interesting flying the drones and playing VR. That sparked my interest because I also found it interesting how people can get really good at it and figure out tricks and stuff. I like to play video games in my free time when I have it. I mainly play 2k because it’s sports related and it’s just fun. My plan is to hopefully do track and field in college but I don’t know what major yet.

Hi I am Hannah Taitelbaum. I am a senior at Burlington High this year. My interest in technology is gaining an everyday understanding on how to get better with technology and learning how different types of technology function and run. I chose to join the help desk because I have not taken a technology/ computer class during my time at BHS and this class seemed the most interesting to me. My career interest is in criminal justice, I ultimately hope to become an FBI agent after college. I will definitely need to know how to use many types of technology to succeed in my career so this is a great introduction. Some other information about me is that I have been on the Varsity lacrosse team since my freshman year, I also play basketball. Next year I will either be attending The University of Alabama or Clemson University.

Hi, my name is Akshaiy Thulasimuhunthan, and I am a junior at Burlington High School. I joined the BHS Help Desk because I have a strong interest in technology and enjoy helping others solve problems. Last year, I took the Tech Exploration class which strengthened my curiosity about how devices, networks, and software systems work. That experience motivated me to continue building my technical skills throughout the Help Desk program that our school provided as one of our optional courses.

I am mostly interested in learning more about computer hardware, troubleshooting, and cybersecurity. I like understanding how technology connects different systems and makes everyday tasks more efficient. Being part of the Help Desk allows me to apply what I learn in real situations while supporting students and teachers in our school community.

In the future, I am considering a career in the medical field, but I know technology is really important in healthcare and many other industries. Outside of school, I train consistently, stay disciplined with my workouts, eat clean, and compete in combat sports. I am also involved in Scouts, where I’ve developed leadership, responsibility, and teamwork skills.
