In the iOS 7 update, Apple rolled out a new option to automatically update apps. Instead of having to wait and ‘Update All’ apps, now you can get the latest app updates the moment they come out. Apple will ask how often you want the apps to update, and whether to update apps when you are Wi-fi only or also on cellular internet. This is especially helpful for iPhone users so that they can choose the option that best fits their data plan.
To turn on automatic app updates, go to Settings -> iTunes & App Store -> Automatic Downloads. Next, turn “Updates” on. To find out which apps updated, you can open the App Store and tap the Updates tab to see when an app last updated or open the Notification Center.
