Show hosts Amit & Harsh discussed their Individual Learning Endeavor which was to modernize the BHS Robotics Club website. Although we did run into the problem of not being able to share our screen, Amit and Harsh did an outstanding job explaining the technical aspects of building the site. It is clear as you listen to their explanation they possess extensive knowledge and skill in website development. It has been quite a learning experience for me as their teacher to hear exactly what they had to go through to create their site. The time and effort they put into this project outside of the normal school day and their commitment to helping future Robotics Club members develop the necessary skills to maintain what they have built is inspiring. I am very proud of my students for putting themselves in front of the camera and sharing the specifics of their ILE on our debut episode. Their passion for this project is evident as you listen to their presentation.

The Hangout itself was an exciting and somewhat nerve-wracking experience, (probably more so for me than my students!) as it was a live broadcast, and although it wasn’t perfect, overall I would classify it as a success. It was a risk well worth taking, and a goal we had set at the beginning of the year. I’m thrilled that we were finally able to make it happen! We’ve learned a lot from this experience and will continue to learn as we gain experience using the Hangouts On Air tool.
