iPevo Interactive Whiteboard Review

Paul Barbieri and LeRoy Wong review the iPevo Interactive Whiteboard. Overall, we believe that it’s a good product and much more cost-effective than traditional whiteboards. Here is our summary of what we saw. Thanks to Dakota Irvine for his contributions on this review.

  • Affordable
  • Handy
  • Multiple Accessory tools (Projector/ Document Camera)
  • Light Weight
  • Portable
  • Great for a teacher “on the fly”
  • Especially foreign language teachers that typically do not have their own room
  • Not a lot of parts

  • Possibly not as durable
  • Doesn’t have all the bells and whistles of the current smart boards
  • Slightly difficult to calibrate
  • Using it on a Chromebook is more limited (can only use the whiteboard function and can’t use it over browser windows)

Convenient in the sense that it is very portable, cheap and adaptable. It may not be as reliable as a smart board, but it does offer more resources to teachers who do not have access to technology to the extent that Burlington High School does. The Ipevo overall is a great device and has many pros, that I feel outweigh the cons. For the right person, the Ipevo is a great tool that should be utilized by most teachers.
