I’m pleased to present the second semester bios and blogs for Help Desk or Tech Exploration. So far we have been learning more about AI or artificial intelligence as well as learning basics about Adobe Illustrator, Blender, and the Unity game engine. Several of these students will be starting their senior internships in about a month, and are starting to do some preparation for the internships. I hope you enjoy reading about their work.

Matthew Gendron (blog under construction)

My name is Matthew Gendron, I am a senior at Burlington High School. Some of my interests are music and sports. I have participated in the band at BHS since I was a freshman and started with the marching band in my sophomore year. AI and technology in general really interest me and I’ve been interested in them for as long as I can remember. I wonder how the advancement of AI and technology can affect the music and sports industry. I joined this class because I had never really taken a class like this and thought that it would be interesting and I could further explore my curiosity with technology. My future career interests are either some form of music whether it’s performing or education or sports broadcasting/management.

Jason Kane

I’m Jason Kane, and I am a junior at Burlington High School. I have always been very interested in technology since a young age and may pursue a career in the field. My interests in technology are coding, artificial intelligence, and game designing. Some non technological interests of mine are sports (Hockey, Golf and lacrosse). I also am into mechanical work, and I have experience with dirt bikes and snowmobiles that I have worked on. I decided to join a help desk class to further my general technical knowledge and hopefully learn about some of the things I am interested in. Some career interests for me are mechanical engineering where I can work with cars and other vehicles, or a job that involves computers. I’m really looking to be an entrepreneur in any area of work I find myself in.

Hi, my name is Talia Massone. I am a senior at BHS and some of my hobbies include staying active, shopping, and going to the beach with friends. Alongside these hobbies, I’ve joined the help desk to further my knowledge of computer programs like Adobe in order to broaden my understanding of technology. I transferred into BHS from Shawsheen, and during my time there I mainly focused on productivity software which sparked my interest in a class like this. My future is set on a career as a research scientist, aligning with my major in biochemistry which I’ll be pursuing in college.

My name is Ryan McElroy. I am a sophomore. I’m interested in sports like basketball, hockey and football. I decided to join help desk to become more comfortable with using technology. My career interests are creating a business and using technology to help market my products.

Hi, my name is Nil Patel, I am 17 years old and a junior at Burlington High School. My interests in technology are video games like Brawlhalla, NBA 2k, GTA, and all types of other video games. I also enjoy basketball, and am also interested in AI. I want to learn about the possible future technology of our world that may be a part of our daily lives. I decided to join the help desk to learn more about the games that I enjoy everyday and how technology works exactly. I enjoy going to the gym with friends, listening to music to relax, and also have always been interested in computer science since middle school. Which is why I would like to pursue a career in Computer Science and hope that helpdesk will help advance my knowledge and be helpful in my future.

My name is Don Teguia and I’m currently a senior at BHS. I’m really interested in video games like NBA 2K, Fortnite etc. I find it very relaxing and satisfying because I’ve been playing for so long, I know how everything works in the game. I decided to join Help Desk to learn about how games work. It’s one thing to know how to control the game, it’s another to know how to make it. My dream is to play professional basketball in the future, it’s a process but possible. If that doesn’t work out, I would like to be in the computer science field.

I am Brady Richer and I am a sophomore. My interests include, Video games like Madden, MLB The Show, and 2K. As Well as sports like Football, baseball, basketball, Hockey, and track. While I don’t play all of these sports currently, I enjoy watching them. The local sports teams like the Patriots, Red Sox, Celtics and Bruins, along with my college football teams Clemson and Michigan. I take an interest in wrestling. I also enjoy spending time with my friends and family. While I play esports, I decided to join Help Desk because many of my friends recommended it to me and I also have an interest in technology like the other people enrolled in the class. Another reason I joined the help desk is because Mr. Wong is my esports coach. My career interests include hosting a sports radio show, being a sports journalist, or being a sports announcer. Other interesting things about myself include playing football and running track. History is my favorite subject.

Hello, My name is Mark Seltser and I am currently a student at Burlington High school. I am interested in drones and AI platforms in my technology exploration class. My goal is to become a veterinarian, work in an emergency hospital and take care of dogs and cats. I joined Help Desk because I’m interested in technology, especially because it’s a growing field that affects our daily lives. There are so many different things in the world of technology, I wanted to better understand some of the technologies we use every day. My Dad is in the Computer Networking and Security industry and sometimes I watch him work with technology and it has a lot of interesting things that can be done as it is a fast and rapidly growing industry. While my Mom is in the Biomedicine Industry in which she spends a lot of time working with automation and robots for research. Outside of school, I play Football and on the Swim Team in the winter. When I have free time, I usually spend time with my family and dog or go to the gym. I also enjoy trading in the stock market, as well as I have my own small engine repair business.

I used to code and program apps and websites. I also participated in Lego Robotics throughout elementary and middle school. I have drifted from those activities and started liking more biology and science focused topics. I joined the help desk to learn more about how my device works and why it works the way it does and to try robotics and programming again. 

I am interested in the medical field and when exploring career options I was really interested in bio tech, I ended up choosing nursing as of now and will be pursuing that in college.

Hello, my name is Jayden, and I am currently a junior at Burlington High School. I joined help desk because I am interested in exploring technology more and hands-on activities. In the future, I am hoping to study chemistry in college, and eventually choose a specific branch of chemistry to pursue after college. Outside of school, I compete for the cross country and track team year round, and I originally joined cross country to get in shape for soccer, but liked it more and stuck with it to this day. In my free time, I usually hang out with my friends, and family.

Greetings!  I’m Hawa Lukwago, and I attend Burlington High School as a senior. Since I have a strong interest in technology and anything related to computer skills, I enrolled in Help Desk and Intro To Game Design for my second semester. I choose to work at the help desk because it provides an opportunity to enhance my customer service abilities. In addition, I enjoy the challenge of having to assume accountability for finding solutions to complex problems. My desire to study business and pursue entrepreneurship has always been a passion of mine, therefore having computer skills could be useful when designing a logo for a clothing line. Working at a help desk takes motivation. The second is that being an IT professional requires having strong customer service abilities because it’s a service-oriented field. No matter how much of an absolute magician you are, if you can’t communicate with the individuals you’re offering technical expertise to, you’re going to be awful at your job. If someone has good soft skills and a willingness to learn, even without any technical knowledge or experience, I would prefer to work with them over someone who lacks user interaction skills.  requires a desire to work and help with others, which has never been an issue for me. This also includes communication skills which come naturally to me. Being able to do what I love while also helping others has always been a dream of mine.

My name is Lucas Marcassoli, but I mostly go by luke. I am returning as a sophomore to BHS. This is my second year taking help desk. It’s my second semester class of the year. Some of my revelvent hobbies and interests are General coding in basic programs like scratch and unity, modeling softwares and game design the same as my freshman year. I joined technology integration because I find technology very interesting and seeing as it’s getting more and more important in everyday life I wanted to be educated on it and be able to use it effectively, especially AI. And for my career interests, I’ve always been interested in coding and general game making. I have tried before to make games and combine all aspects of designs I’ve learned. I think it’s a very fun creative outlet even if the final products don’t always come out functioning. I’m returning to help desk because I found it interesting and engaging last year.

Hello, my name is Saraí Ajcip Sosof, I am a student at Burlington High School, I am very interested in learning education. I am very interested in studying and learning new things, learning about technology since technology is very advanced that day by day they are new things that are developed I like to always learn many new things because in the future technology will be very helpful, like in class work to give us new opportunities for all of us we have to learn about technology and show it to those who need it. the help just as they showed us Chandon we needed help the technology teachers are giving us the information we have to give them help and information so that they can learn and we also have to give help in teaching our classmates or co-workers and in the family so that we all have to be informed about technology because technology is very important. Apart from technology, I would like to learn about architecture careers in construction. I like soccer, thank you for teaching us every day to learn and for giving us opportunities, God first, you will achieve everything you set your mind to.

Hi my name is Liam. I am a senior at BHS. I am interested in crypto mining and day trading. I also enjoy building my own computers and using them to game. I also enjoy building my own crypto mining rigs. I have built two so far and I am always intrigued by the newest most profitable coin and how to make passive income by using technology. I decided to join the help desk because I want to learn more about technology and as a senior I felt that this was the perfect time to do so. I plan on attending flight school after this year and hopefully become a commercial pilot. I enjoy playing sports and hanging out with my friends. I hope that this class will be intriguing and I am excited to learn more about technology as a whole.

I am interested in how AI works. I feel like technology is almost always used in everyday tasks and I am interested in learning more about that, and how it can be used in the future. I joined this class because I wanted to see technology in ways that I have not figured out yet or seen before. I am interested in engineering and science. I also am interested in business within real estate. Technology is a huge part of these careers, and I think that this class can outline my skills for the future. I am interested in sports like golf and lacrosse. I have played lacrosse for many years of my life. I just recently got into golf. I like to hang out with my friends on the weekends and eat food. I have taken technology related classes in the past. I have a lot of experience with technology, such as computers and games. I am interested in learning about how technology can shape our future, and especially how AI is going to impact new generations. I want to learn more about the risk that AI has to people’s jobs. I also want to learn more about the mechanical part of technology.

My name is Madison Greene, but I prefer to be called Maddie. I am a senior at Burlington High School. My interests include working out, hanging out with friends, and in my free time, watching television and/or reading (this may include online articles and/or books). I decided to join the help desk because AI is on the rise and I am very interested in learning more about it, as well as other technology the world has to offer, as the world is becoming more interconnected with different types of technology. For a career interest, I am very interested in psychology. I want to go into the therapy branch of it because I want to help others. Other interesting facts about me are I moved from Billerica to Burlington when I was 15 years old, my favorite color is baby pink, and my favorite singer is Zach Bryan. I am committed to Merrimack College for the next four years and I am majoring in psychology, and I am very excited! I am looking forward to learning a lot about technology, the different types the world uses, and where the world is headed with technology, especially AI!

I have played softball and basketball for the high school for 2 years now, sophomore year and freshman year and I am going to continue to keep playing through high school. Hi, my name is Julian Sacca. I am a senior at bhs in the class of 2024. I didn’t really know about the help desk until last year when a couple of my friends did it and said that initially they were uncertain, but the class turned out to be a really great experience. I figured since I’m always on my phone and I enjoy playing video games that I’d try the help desk/tech exploration course. I currently do not have a career planned out that is solely based in technology, but learning the basic skills can’t hurt. I want to pursue a career in construction management/architecture so by the time I’m in college I can guarantee that I’ll be using online models in my courses. Some interesting facts about me is that I went to nationals my junior year for shot put in winter track. I’ve been on the track team since freshman year and it’s been some of my favorite moments at BHS. I plan to do track and field in college and go from there. I enjoy weightlifting, playing video games and hanging out with friends in my free time. I hope to come out of this course with a lot of new knowledge that I can apply.
