We have had a very smooth month and couple weeks at the Help Desk and Game Design classes. Sometime next month we’ll start preparing for the Hour of Code or Computer Science Education Week event which takes place in December. Hello, I’m Chase. I’m a junior in high school. My main interests are video games, specifically virtual reality games such as job simulator, Medal of Honor, and Yeeps hide and seek. But I also play regular console games but mainly virtual reality games. I also enjoy going to the movies with my friends but I do go over their houses. I like to go to the mall and collect action figures of my favorite video game characters. I also work at a local diner in Burlington called BickFord’s Grille. I decided to take game design because I was interested in making my own VR game based on another game Five Nights At Freddy’s vr Help Wanted. The other reason was so that I could potentially create my own fan games and use the designs of the characters to make collectible plushies. My career does not involve tech or games but i want to manage my own company or an already existing company. But maybe in college I might take a computer science class for fun. Some other interests I have are swimming in the winter, studying rollercoaster technology and history, and helping out at work. And helping out around the house.

My name is Julian Hartmann and I’m a senior. I’m interested in all kinds of applications of technology from everyday life to medicine but I’m particularly interested in game design. I’ve been playing video games since I can remember and still do to this day. I always wanted to know what goes into making them and the different techniques for making different types of games. This year I took on a lighter course load and took the opportunity to explore how games are made. I’ve taken quite a few different computer science courses as I plan on working in the field in the future. Specifically I hope to focus on cybersecurity and information security in college and my future career.

My name is Mehran Khaleel and I am a senior at Burlington High School. I have always been interested in technology whether it was playing video games like FIFA, Fortnite, and Assetto Corsa or designing a robot with the robotics team. Outside of technology I like to play soccer, hike, and hang out with my friends. I decided to join the Game Design class because I was interested in learning how to build the games that I play. I was also interested in learning more about unity as I have tried it before and want to further explore how to use it. In the future, I would like to pursue a career in chemical engineering. My name is Brady Richer and I am a senior at Burlington High School. I am interested in sports like the NFL, MLB, NBA, and NHL. My favorite teams are the New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox, Boston Celtics and Boston Bruins. I also like college football where my favorite teams are the Clemson Tigers, and Michigan Wolverines. I decided to join Game design as it’s a class Mr. Wong teaches that I haven’t taken yet, and it seems interesting. I’m taking Help Desk semester two. My career interests include becoming a Gym Teacher and two to three season sports coach. It could include Football, Baseball, Basketball, or Track. Other interesting facts about me are that I have lived in Burlington my whole life, I play Varsity Football, Baseball, and Track where I am 10th in school history for the fifty five meter dash and I am very close to top 5. I am also on the Esports team playing Madden where I have been a captain for two years.

I’m mainly interested in Chinese medicine—acupuncture, herbal medicine, cupping, and things of that nature—and plan to chase that as a career, however I am additionally interested in technology including the game design process. Hello! I am Braden Santiano, I am a current senior at Burlington High School. I joined both the Game Design and Help Desk classes this year. I joined from my love of video games, programming, and engineering as a whole. On my own, I have picked up the Godot Game Engine, joined the esports team for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and also became the head of engineering in the Robotics team. My favorite video games are Minecraft, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and Mario Kart. On the robotics team, I have worked in Computer Aided Design (CAD) and have decent experience in the fabrication of materials. I took both of these classes because I want to enhance my programming and customer service skills. I am the “IT guy” to everyone in my family, so I want to gain an even better understanding of technology. I am hoping to pursue engineering once I graduate from high school, and even continue to work in technical and engineering fields. On the less technical side of things, I play the trombone for the Jazz band as well as the Wind Ensemble, and I enjoy golfing in my free time.

Hello my name is Rohit Vijayakumar. I am a senior studying at Burlington High School. My interests involve learning about artificial intelligence as well as learning how technology works as it’s a growing science that I have been passionate about since 6th grade. My other interests include playing the piano, playing volleyball, and playing pickleball. I decided to join game design as I like to see how games are made and how they are made realistic and hopefully be able to create my own game soon. Additionally, I joined this course to get a better understanding of a new part of computer science I have not got deeper into and in high school, I just want to try different parts of computer science. I put in an 82 volt battery and a 40Ah. So I got longer battery life and I got it to hit 50Mph. I saw that you can be creative with technology and do what you want. Hi! My name is Faiz Biscuitwala, and I’m currently in 12th grade at BHS. I joined the Help
Desk class because I’ve always had a strong interest in technology—especially drones and
drone programming. I find it fascinating how drones combine hardware, software, and real-time
control systems to do things like navigate, capture footage, or even complete complex tasks.
What really draws me to drone programming is the challenge of making machines think and
react on their own. Whether it’s writing code that controls flight patterns or solving technical
issues, I enjoy learning how everything connects and how to troubleshoot when things don’t go
as planned.
In the future, I’m interested in pursuing a career in robotics, aerospace, or drone technology. I’d
love to work on developing drones for real-world applications, like environmental monitoring,
search and rescue, or even delivery systems.
Outside of tech, I enjoy [Riding a sports bike and also sports car which i like the most.]. I’m

Hi, I am Logan DaGraca. I am a senior at Burlington High School and I am interested in engineering technology. I have always wanted to become an engineer, and technology has become an integral part of engineering. I want to learn how engineers use technology to design new things that advance the world. I am also interested in programming and code and how computers work. I am interested in both hardware and software. For example I am interested in how my computer’s gpu works while running a video game and how the software creates the game I play. I decided to join the help desk because it can give me valuable experience with engineering technology that I will need for college and beyond. I also have customer service experience so if someone needs help with their technology I have the skills to assist them. I am specifically interested in aerospace engineering. This field combines many of my interests: flight, design, engineering, math, science. In the future, I see myself as an aerospace engineer at a rocketry company, designing rockets that will facilitate the future development of human kind. I do robotics and am on the Cross Country team this fall. My favorite game has got to be OneShot. I listen to basically everything, hand me any song I will probably give it an 8/10. I plan on pursuing Engineering in college however I do not know the specifics of what I want to do in college so for now I am just attempting to try everything I can.I took Tech Exploration so I could get introductions to as many facets of technology as possible. Hi my name is Giacomo Berardinelli, I am a senior at Burlington High School. I enjoy using technology in ways such as listening to music, talking to friends, watching videos and playing video games. Some video games I enjoy playing are sports games, Rainbow six siege, and call of duty every now and then. Some of my other interests are playing sports, hanging out with friends and spending time outside. I play hockey, golf and baseball at Burlington. I also enjoy working out. The reason I joined this class was to get a better understanding of how technology really works, to really understand the fine details of the tech. I look to do a career in business, most likely finance or accounting related, which taking this class will help as a lot of business work can be tech savvy and lots of work throughout the computer is done, so I can get a better idea of how to use technology in its most efficient ways. Hi, my name is Logan Nestor, and I’m currently a senior at BHS. Throughout high school, I’ve been actively involved in sports, particularly hockey and golf. These activities have taught me discipline, teamwork, and how to stay focused under pressure. Outside of sports, I decided to join the help desk class this year after receiving positive recommendations from several friends who took the class last year. While many of my peers are planning to attend college after graduation, I’ve chosen a different path. I’ve decided not to pursue a four-year degree but instead to attend a trade school to become an electrician. I’m excited about the hands-on nature of the trade and the career opportunities it offers. My career interest is to be a forensic accountant. I chose this out of all careers because it seems unique to be a forensic accountant and being the person that checks documents to see if it’s fraudulent or not. My name is Kush Patel. I was born in Edmonton, AB, Canada. My parents are Ashish and Deepa. I have a younger sister who is 8 years old. I am in Grade 10 in Burlington High School in Burlington, MA. I did my elementary in my home country Canada, from Shauna May Seneca school. But, in my last year of elementary school in 2020, we moved to Atlanta, GA due to my mom’s employment and I finished the rest of the Grade 5 in Montgomery Elementary School. In December 2023, we moved again to Massachusetts to be closer with our relatives. During all my school years, I had amazing teachers and friends and I had so much fun with them. In high school, I liked pretty much all of the subjects but Math is my favorite. I also enjoy PE class, where I can play basketball. I am also a First Class Scout in Troop 511 in Burlington. We meet once a week every Thursday as a troop and we have campouts scheduled every month which includes backpacking trips, hiking and weekend trips. We also do community events and help the community by giving our service hours. I work hard to get good marks in all of my subjects. I like to study and have a goal to become an environmental engineer. With that job, I also want to serve in my community as a firefighter. I am planning to get the required education and training to accomplish my goals.

Out of school I love playing volleyball and pickleball to stay active while also spending time with my friends to create memories that will last longer than just high school.
