Editor’s Note: Senior Blogger Amit Patel provides an overview of the student response system InfuseLearning. If you like Socrative, you’ll love InfuseLearning!

InfuseLearning is a software platform that allows teachers to engage every student on any device. Think Socrative. However, InfuseLearning has many more powerful tools available like drawing, link sharing, and a variety of quick assessments

Here is the Teacher’s perspective:

After you create your account, you are directed to the main dashboard. Here, you can set up a quick question, use interactive tools, and start a quiz. Screen Shot 2013-11-08 at 12.47.08 PM

When you start a quiz, you can receive the live progress of each student. After the students are done with the quiz, you can download the results into an organized Excel spreadsheet.

Here is the student’s perspective:
The teacher gives the student the room number and the student enters it along with his or her name.

Then, the student is given a waiting screen until the teacher starts an activity. Once the teacher starts an activity, it is loaded onto the student’s screen right away.

InfuseLearning serves as an alternative to Socrative. It is tough to tell which one is better since Socrative is going under major changes currently. However, InfuseLearning is easy to use and has a cleaner interface in my opinion. Overall, InfuseLearning is a great way to engage students in the classroom and collect student responses.
