Help Desk Live Episode 1– In the debut episode of HD Live, Help Desk students Harsh and Amit, both seniors, discuss their Individual Learning Endeavors

Help Desk Live Episode 2– In this episode, Help Desk juniors Mira and Danny discuss digital citizenship with our first guest, Dr. Marialice Curran, professor from St. Joseph University in West Hartford, Connecticut.

Help Desk Live Episode 3– In episode 3, Help Desk student Mira interviews Sara Dionne, Senior Director of Talent Operations at Comcast. In this episode, Sara discusses her career path in the business and human resources industry. She also talks with us about what she looks for when hiring and the importance of students managing their digital footprints.

Help Desk Live Episode 4-In episode 4, Help Desk juniors Trevor and Jake interview Michael Westervelt, a Googler and Executive Director and Founder of Next Step Boston, a nonprofit, career consulting firm dedicated to helping young people find meaningful employment. During the interview, Michael discusses his career path at Google as well as the types of social media tools students can use to develop a positive online presence.

Help Desk Live Episode 5– In episode 5, Help Desk junior Nathan Rippin and senior Amit Patel, interview a panel of three guests; educators Aaron Mauer, Margaret Powers, and Lisa Palmieri. In this lively conversation, panel members discuss the unique and innovative ways they are using Google Glass in the classroom for discovery, documentation, and exploration. This is a must listen for educators or administrators who are interested in learning more about Google Glass.

Help Desk Live Episode 6– In episode 6, Help Desk junior Mira interviews Paige Woodard, a senior at Franklin Community High School in Franklin, Indiana. In this episode, Paige discusses her social media mission as a member of Don Wettrick’s Innovations class.

Help Desk Live Episode 7– In episode 7, Help Desk juniors Mira and Nathan interview Drew Minock, elementary teacher, technology coach, and founder of the blog Two Guys with iPads. In this interview, we talk with Drew about how his idea for Two Guys developed and we also discuss how he is using augmented reality in the classroom.

Help Desk Live Episode 8– In episode 8, Mrs. Scheffer discusses digital citizenship and the importance of developing a personal brand with Alan Katzman. Alan is the Owner of the New York-based company Social Assurity which is dedicated to helping high school and college students utilize social media tools responsibly and professionally.

Help Desk Live Episode 9– In episode 9, we discuss student-run tech teams. Help Desk seniors Harsh, Jason, and John discuss their role as members of the BHS Help Desk program and what they do to support the Burlington 1:1 iPad environment. During the episode, we talk with Jessica Razza-Lindsey, a senior at Grafton High School in Massachusetts along with her teacher Cathy Engvall. Jessica is a member of the Grafton Tech Force, a program similar to Help Desk, and works to support students and teacher with the integration of technology.

Help Desk Live Episode 10– In episode 10, Mark Babbitt, owner and founder of YouTern and the award-winning blog The Savvy Intern, talks with the Burlington High School Digital Literacy students about how they can take advantage of Twitter, blogging, and LinkedIn to help them achieve their professional career goals.
