The latest iOS 9 update for iPhone has brought with it many new features, however there’s one in particular that some users may want to disable. The new “Wi-Fi Assist” will automatically switch your iPhone from a Wi-Fi network to a cellular network if a weak signal is detected. This is a feature that could be activated more often than users think. For those with limited data plans the “Wi-Fi Assist” feature could end up costing them big bucks in overage charges. So what can be done? Users must manually disable to Wi-Fi Assist feature. To do so, follow the steps listed below.
1. Go to “Settings”
2. Go to “Cellular”
3. Scroll all the way to the bottom until you see “Wi-Fi Settings” and turn this feature off
Thanks!
