I hope everyone has had a restful summer and good beginning to the school year. It’s good to be back and working with my largest group of students yet. I’m pleased to welcome back Arian Askari, Gage Melberg, Robert Smith, and Shawn Scott for second stints with the Help Desk Program. They bring a wealth of experience with device troubleshooting, music, and video production at the Help Desk. It’s been great getting to know my new group of students who also bring a vast range of talents and interests. We are looking forward to doing some great things this semester.

Bobby Aloisi

I am interested in many different forms of technology. I like video games, computers, VR, and drones. I am interested in video games because they have always been a part of my life. I started off with a DS playing Fossil Fighters and have since upgraded to an XBox and a computer. I onced used a VR set when I was in Foxwoods and have grown an interest for it since. I decided to join Help Desk because I want to learn about new technology that I have not learned about. In college, I want to learn about oceanography and become a marine biologist. I have always been fascinated by the ocean and just want to know as much as possible about it. I am currently taking an online oceanography class. A couple of things about me are that I play soccer, baseball, and I swim. Also outside of school I ski and I am scuba certified.  

Arian Askari

My name is Arian Askari. I chose to be in Help Desk, because I wanted to learn about different technologies and how they work. I have practiced martial arts for 11 years. I also dabbled with instruments such as the piano for a few years. Technologically speaking I have participated in a couple activities. I participated in a mixture of C++ and HTML coding for 2 years. I even learned how to use the program Xcratch to make small games over one of my summer vacations. Although I have participated in all these topics, none of them appealed to me. A staple in my interest was Apple products and most recently jailbreaking iPhones and iPads (by the way it’s not illegal).

Sameeha Baig

My name is Sameeha Baig. I’m in my sophomore year at the Burlington High School. I decided to join Help Desk because I want to show women that they can put themselves out there and show the world that they can accomplish something in technology because most women aren’t confident with themselves being in the technology field because they believe it’s for men which isn’t true because women can do technology. My interest in technology is mostly coding because it interested me when I took computer science last year. My career interest after high school is that I want to study to be a doctor. In school I’m also the activities coordinator for the Medical Club. I love anything to do with reading; you can say I’m a bookworm. I look forward to being part of the Help Desk this year and exploring the technology this year.

Doug Bibbo

As far back as I can remember, I’ve had some video game system in my house from a DS to a Wii to an Xbox 360 to an Xbox 1 and my interest in these has only grown. Some games I’m interested in are Far Cry, Overwatch, Fortnite and Minecraft. I’m a senior and among my interests in video games, I like to run track and I also love coding. I have been coding since freshman year and I can’t imagine what I would be doing if I had not found this passion. I decided to join Help Desk because of love for new and fun software and hardware and I have learned that this is definitely the place to be. I enjoy coding so much that I will take it beyond high school into college and take computer science and hopefully have a career in coding. Specially I think data analysis using web scraping is interesting but I also like video games enough to create them for work

Hari Biji

My name is Hari Biji, and I am a senior this year. I decided to join Help Desk because I have only heard great things about this class. I am excited to see what we will be doing this year. I am looking forward to learning how to solve problems that we encounter daily at school. I consider myself a hands- on learner so I hope to learn more about technology this year. Some of my interests are watching and playing sports and playing video games. I mostly play Madden 20 and 2K. Madden 20 has a mode where you create your own “Ultimate Team.” Whereas 2K, I play the MyCareer mode where you play as yourself. On the weekends or any free time I have, I go play basketball at Wildwood with the boys. For work, I work at the Burlington Best Buy at Customer Service. After high school, I want to major in biology in college so I can go for med school afterwards. My end goal is to be an anesthesiologist. 

Isaac Borcates

I’m interested in helping people at the BHS Help Desk. I’m also interested in programming things. I decided to join the Help Desk because I can help people with things that I  like to do. For a career, I want to work at Apple or invent new technology.

Kevin Chen

Hello, my name is Kevin. I am a senior at Burlington High School. I am interested in programming and artificial intelligence. I have been part of the Battlecode competition last year and plan to lead this year as well. I decided to join Help Desk because students have a lot of freedom in what they want to work on. I believe that I have a diverse skill set to contribute to the school. I hope to take on many programming projects that benefit the community. I can also work on setting up web servers and databases. I hope that Help Desk may provide me with more competition programming experience during the time leading up to Battlecode. After school, I do cross country. I am also part of Math League and Crystal Club. I am planning to study computer science and data science in college. I have self taught myself programming. I started teaching myself Java from the end of middle school to the beginning of my freshman year. Web automation and game development sparked my interest in programming. I wanted to do certain tasks more efficiently as well as being able to mod games. Now, I also have experience in C, SQL, and PHPphp. I am always trying to learn more about programming everyday.

Sophie Craig

Hello, my name is Sophie Craig. I am currently enrolled as a sophomore here at Burlington High. My reasoning for choosing Help Desk was that I have always been one for the Internet and social media. My parents say that my phone is just an extended limb of mine! Instead of just my personal use, I have decided to take my knowledge of electronics and help others with it. I am a great addition to the Help Desk for I am always willing to learn new things, and do the best I can to help others. Not only am I great with helping the students of BHS, I am constantly thinking about the future, what I want to be, and how technology advances will impact that. I believe this course will benefit me substantially, and give me a new wing to branch out onto. It will possibly even create an easier career path for me to become an internist, which is a job that doesn’t only involve lots of knowledge, but lots of technology work that I must apply as well.

Sean Culhane

My name is Sean Culhane and I am a senior at Burlington High School. I have been a part of the varsity basketball team and the club DECA. Technology is something I use everyday and it would be hard to live without. Some technological things I enjoy are playing video games, going on the Internet, and using social media.  Other hobbies I have are playing basketball, exercising, and watching Netflix. I play Madden and NBA2k on PS4. Instagram, Snapchat, and YouTube are the main social media platforms I use. I decided to join Help Desk because I want to learn more about technology since it is very popular and I want to be able to help people who are having problems with their technology. Also I have heard great things about this class from other students and it made me interested in taking the class. I am not completely sure what I want to do as a career, but I am thinking something business related. No matter what career I choose there will probably be some type of technology involved and that is another reason why I chose Help Desk. I believe Help Desk will teach me many things about technology that I did not know and that I can use moving forward with my life.

Dominic D’Angelo

Hello my name is Dominic Rocco D’Angelo and I am currently a senior at Burlington High School. I decided to join the Help Desk because I take pride in helping people and it gives me a sense of accomplishment when the problem gets solved. Some of my interests are sports and video games. I have wanted to create/design a video game for as long as I can remember. I enjoy playing soccer and basketball with my friends as it is another way to escape rather than just sit in and play video games. I just want to be able to get kids to get out of the real world for an hour or two at a time and making money while doing it won’t hurt. 

Paul D’Eramo

My name is Paul D’Eramo and I’m a junior at Burlington High School. I’m mostly interested in sports and playing video games. My favorite sport is lacrosse because I’ve been playing since I was young and it’s always a good time and video games never get boring unless I play a game that I’m not interested in. I decided to join Help Desk because my friends told me it was a great learning experience and I’m very interested in the drones. Later on in life I would like to be a general contractor but I’m not fully sure yet there’s still a lot of time to figure things out. But I’m very excited to be in Help Desk this year and see what fascinating projects come up later in the year.

Dakota Ellis

Hello, my name is Dakota Ellis I’m currently in my Freshmen year. I really love video games. I decided to join Help Desk because I like helping people with stuff like technology. I really love to play baseball. I’m on the cross country high school team. I enjoy being in that as well as Help Desk. This is my first year at the Help Desk. I really hope this year at Help Desk will help me get better with technology, so I can help people further into the technology. I am good with working with computers. I hope Help Desk will help me with working with the iPads.

William Franz

My name is William Franz. I am a junior at BHS. My experience with technology started in Illinois, when I was 8 years old. The hard drive in my cheap desktop computer had stopped working. My parents were short on money at the time, and after buying a new hard drive, told me they would get me a video game if I replaced it myself instead of having them pay for someone to come and do it for me. After some online tutorials, I opened up the computer and managed to figure it out. Even though my files where lost, I received something even better: my interest in machines, computers, programming, and pretty much anything relating to technology, which has only grown exponentially since. 

I plan to build a career in either mechanical engineering or software development, and now that I live in Massachusetts, a state with much more options for technological education than Illinois, the possibilities are nearly endless. 

From building computers to programming my own games, I have never passed up a chance to learn more about technology and how it works This is why I joined the Help Desk, to learn more about technology in a helpful and interactive way. 

Seamus Gallagher

My name is Seamus Christopher Gallagher. I am in my senior year in the Class of 2020. Ever since I was little I tinkered with things. I would take things apart and then put them together so I’m interested in the physical aspect of technology. I am also interested in virtual reality. I joined Help Desk to learn more about modern technology. Another reason I joined is because I want to help others with their problems and hopefully teach people about their devices.The career path I would like to follow is in the trades, specifically electrical. After high school I am planning on becoming an apprentice electrician. To continue my school and prepare to become a licensed electrician I am going to the Peterson School. I will then hopefully get my journeyman’s license and become a fully licensed electrician. After that I hope to get my masters and have people work under me. With that I will start my own electrical company. Other interesting things about myself is that I like to work on my truck and almost anything with a motor and love to fish.

Shae Gallagher

I’m Shae Gallagher. I am a freshman at BHS. I took Help Desk because I wanted to learn more about technology and get a basic idea of how to fix technology for myself. I also joined Help Desk to understand technology better because almost our whole world has to do with technology. I’m interested in sports and watching them too, and traveling. I would like a job in marine biology or zoology. I’m hoping that being in Help Desk will make it so I can help more people

Sam Gillis

My name is Sam Gillis and I am currently in my senior year here at BHS. This is my first year of Help Desk and look forward to learning from Mr.Wong. I took this course to expand my knowledge of technology, I use the Internet frequently and want to have a more in-depth look at some of the other features it offers.I am also excited about the many basic programs that I have been using for years that we will expand upon. I am interested in studying business in college and different technologies are used in everyday business life. The Help Desk also offers many different gadgets and tech that would not be available to me otherwise. In the winter I am on the gymnastics team and in the spring I am part of the lacrosse team, I also like to hang out with my friends. The Help Desk has personally been advising me and fixing my technology for the past three years and now I want to be a part of helping students in need. 

Tim Goneau

Hi, my name is Tim Goneau. I am a senior at Burlington High School. I have always been very interested in technology like computers. I have taken a computer science class every year in high school. I took AP Java last year and I am taking AP Computer Science Principles this year. I also really like to play video games on Xbox and PC. I don’t have much experience with VR or drones but I have always thought they were really cool, I just haven’t been able to get my hands on them. Other than technology, my hobbies include mountain biking and skiing. I decided to join Help Desk because I have heard great things about it and I thought it would be a great experience for me. I am definitely looking forward to using some of the cool tech that the help desk has access to. I am also looking forward to learning how to deal with and troubleshoot different issues on student and teachers devices. For careers I am mostly looking into being an engineer, but also considering computer science because of the classes I have taken in high school. 

Brooke Hovasse

Hi, I’m Brooke Hovasse and I’m currently a sophomore at BHS. I am on the girls swim team as well as the girls indoor and outdoor track teams. I am also the secretary of Student Council. I joined Help Desk because I want to learn more about technology and I want to help other students. I also think that knowing the ins and outs of technology is very useful in today’s world. In my free time I enjoy playing with my dogs, surfing, and paddle boarding. I also enjoy going to amusement parks and waterparks with my cousins and sisters. After high school I want to go to college to become a physical therapist. I really enjoy helping others solve problems and physical therapy is all about helping people get back from injuries or other problems. Overall I am really looking forward to this school year and being a part of Help Desk.

Justin Joby

My name is Justin Joby and I am a senior at Burlington High School, I am very interested in sports. I usually spend my weekends playing sports like football or basketball, and when I am not playing sports I am usually playing video games with my friends, we mainly play GTA V or Madden 20. I am also interested in computers; I like to find out what makes them run what each computer can handle and the variety of other things you can do on them. I joined Help Desk to improve my knowledge on computers and laptops because I like to learn new things. Also when I saw how the class was being run last year it looks like a new and interesting way to learn, I also like playing around with new technology like robots and drones and new VR headsets. After high school I plan to go to a 4-year college and major in nursing. 

Sean Kelleher

My name is Sean Kelleher. I’m currently a senior at Burlington High School with the Class of 2020. I’m interested in technology as it has a wide variety of capabilities it can provide to the world. I decided to join the Help Desk because I’m interested in technology and all the benefits it can share with the whole world. Once I graduate I would like to go into culinary or baking school as I admire how those who possess either of these skills can make delights beyond your wildest imaginations and leave your taste buds in a frenzy of flavor. I want to be a part of that world as I want to make food for others to enjoy and leave them content. Some other interesting aspects of my life would be I’ve been doing gymnastics my whole life and on the BHS varsity gymnastics team as well as a snowboarder.

Kenny Kilfoyle

I’m very interested in video games as well as learning coding. If I could learn anything about technology from this course I would like to learn to code. I decided to join Help Desk because my friends told me it’s a good class to take. They told me it is a good place to work on things you are passionate about. When I think about a job I would like I thinking about maybe doing something in the tech industry or maybe become a teacher. An interesting thing about myself is that I am part of the BHS Swim Team

Stefan Kolesnik

Hi, my name is Stefan Kolesnik and I’m a senior at Burlington High School. Growing up I played a lot of video games. I guess you could call me a gamer. I think on average I played 6 hours a day in middle school. As a kid I was always interested in programming and technology, and I’ve been interested in game design for a while. As I got older, I developed other interests like soccer, ping pong, and working out. I am a member of our school’s soccer, swimming, and tennis team. I also teach swim lessons and lifeguard at the YMCA. I’ve always regretted living such a busy life as I was never able to learn about programming and game design in depth. I joined the Help Desk in an attempt to reconnect with my past interests. I hope that by being surrounded by other curious minded individuals and long with Mr. Wong’s guidance, I can explore the things I’ve always loved in depth.

Dylan Lechner

My name is Dylan Lechner and I am currently a senior. What I like about technology is using cameras integrated with tech to do things like getting interesting shots, and using things like motion sensors and robots. I also do soccer, swimming, and tennis and like to hang out with friends in my free time. I joined the Help Desk because I want to learn and utilize different types of technology and overall expand my knowledge of technology. I also want to be able to help people fix their technological issues, as being able to work with other people is a great skill. This will help me in the future, as I am looking to major in bioengineering in college. I’ve always been interested in my science classes, so combining science with problem solving and technology is what I want to do in college. I’m thinking of applying and hopefully going to schools like Northeastern, UPenn, BU, and WPI to help further my academic studies. Some more things about me are that I can speak Spanish close to fluently and that I have a younger brother, Max, who is a junior at BHS. I am at the Help Desk during Period 6 for the first semester. 

Alex Leguisamon

I enjoy using a lot of different kinds of technology such as drones, Xbox, PS4, PC, and much more. I really enjoy playing NBA 2K20, Call of Duty, Fortnite, Overwatch, GTA 5, and many more games. In 2018, I built my own gaming pc which was really fun because I got to build it to the exact specifications that I needed it to be, which was nice. I mostly used it for Fortnite, Overwatch, Minecraft, and CS:GO. I joined Help Desk because I wanted to learn more about technology because the amount of different things you can do with technology is extremely fun and can also be very useful in life. Some careers I have thought about when I get older are a police officer, some sort of career in IT, or even becoming some sort of doctor. Some other interesting things about me are I love to play baseball and I love to go bike riding. I am a sophomore at Burlington High School and I look forward to learning more about technology.

Ryan Lubanski

Hi my name is Ryan Lubanski, and I am currently a senior at Burlington High School. I decided to join help desk because I want to learn more about technology and to be able to help others that need assistance with something that will be related to technology. I have been interested in technology for a while and I have always been interested in gaming. I am hoping that I can succeed in a career that has to do with law enforcement or some sort of first responder. An interesting fact about me is that I am sometimes good at figuring out problems that have to do with iOS devices like iPhones or iPads and I will try my best to figure out the situation and try to resolve it.

Matthew Luz

My name is Matthew Luz, Ii’m a senior and I love technology. I believe that it’s a rapidly growing industry that all types of people can take advantage of to help them in their daily lives. I decided to join the Help Desk to potentially get some hands on experience with technology and to learn more about computers, how they are made, how they are programming, etc. What I want to do in my future is to be a computer programmer. I want to program websites, games, and even apps. I hope one day I can create an app or game that will help people de-stress and become happier in their day to day lives. An interesting fact about myself is that I’m from Brazil and I fluently speak Portuguese.

CJ Mathieson

I’m interested in learning about almost every form of technology. There are some I don’t like, like coding and confusing things on the computer. I like flying the drones and driving the robots. My hobbies are my truck, being with friends and sometimes video games when I’m bored at home. I think VR is pretty cool and it would be nice if we get to use it in Help Desk. I joined Help Desk to learn more about technology and so I will be able to help people that are struggling with something on their phone, iPad, etc. A couple more things about me are that I played hockey for 11 years, but stopped after sophomore year. Also I lived in New Hampshire until I was 6.

Jake McCauley

My name is Jake McCauley. I am currently a senior at Burlington High. I have always had a strong interest in technology. I joined Help Desk because I wanted  to learn and achieve new things. My hobbies are playing PS4, hanging out with friends, and playing sports. I am the best 2K player in the world and I’m very good at Fortnite.  My future goals include going to college and playing sports.  

Gage Melberg

My name is Gage Melberg, and I am a sophomore at BHS. I want to be able to know a lot about technology and how it works. I like to play video games and I want to know how they work. Also in this class there is a guitar and I have been learning how to play and Mr.Wong has been a great teacher for it. I returned to Help Desk because this elective is cool. As for career interests, I’m not sure what I want my career to be, but probably later on in my life I would like to have a job that involves working with technology because technology interests me

Tyler Norden

My name is Tyler Norden and I am a senior in high school. I joined Help Desk because whenever I was in the library I would always see them doing something fun. I also want to learn more about technology and how things work. Things like drones and virtual reality are so cool to me and I am constantly being impressed by technology. I also love the platforms technology has created such as YouTube. I love watching YouTube and when I was younger I would watch a lot of science videos. They were so intriguing to me and I wanted to learn more. This love for science has grown exponentially and has made me want to be an eighth grade science teacher. I want to be able to make science and learning as fun for them as it was for me. I also want to be able to help them in any way I can and make their school experience the best it can be. Along with science I have many other interests such as lacrosse and gymnastics both of which I am on the high school teams for. I also love art and have recently gotten into graffiti. I look forward to helping anyone who may need it.

Samuel Norman 

I have loved technology since I was born. “Telephone” and “computer” were some of my first words. From the first time my mother showed me basic HTML when I was a 6-year-old boy, I have always been fascinated with computers and the way they work. I enjoy coding, ping-pong, and playing Minecraft with friends in my free time. I have knowledge of and have worked on projects involving HTML, JavaScript, C#, and Python. I aspire to be a software engineer because I enjoy coding.

Prima Patel

Hi, I am Prima Patel and my class of year is 2020. I am really interested in coding and how new technology works. I like painting and drawing and math is my favorite subject.  Also I really like listening to music. I decided to join Help Desk because I wanted to learn the basics of technology. And also I wanted to learn more about in technology was coding. I really wanted to extend my boundaries in technology. I am interested in computer science as my career.I want to learn about how apps on cellphones are created and how things work on websites as those are the things most used recently. 

Niko Perfetti

I decided to join the Help Desk because of my interests in cybersecurity, and the ability to learn and grow myself and in return give back to people in need. I love to help people and the Help Desk is a good opportunity for that. Some of my other interests are in the finance and investment sector. Some of my career interests are in real estate development and independent contracting. I realize the importance of, the basic understanding of technology. Technology plays a large role in our lives everyday. So we should aspire to learn more about it, even if your career is not directly in a technology field. When I’m not in a traditional learning environment, I still enjoy learning on my own terms. In particular cybersecurity interests me a lot because of the important role it plays, and how in most people’s technological lives they much rather accommodate ease of use rather than being safe. This interests me, and makes myself want to learn even more about protecting “personal identifiable information” (PII). I love to try and solve problems. I am looking forward to contributing to the Help Desk, solving problems, and the opportunity for having fun with some technology!

Jayson Poland

My name is Jayson Poland and I am a sophomore. I enjoy technology and the way it works. My other interests include working out and playing basketball. I decided to join Help Desk because it seemed very interesting with all of the cool things you can do. My career interests are to either become an actor or to play basketball. Another interesting thing about me is that I’m a health fanatic. I just really care a lot about my body composition and what I can do.

Nicholas Reyes

My name is Nicholas Reyes. I am currently a freshman student at BHS. I’m happy to help anyone who has a problem that I can assist with and always enjoy a joke. Technology has always interested me and I like to use many kinds of it. Some examples are playing games on my Xbox, flying a drone, or simply just using my phone. My interest started when I did a Summer program for Scratch. Since then I have always been wondering how technology works and if someday I can make a product that falls in that category. I thought of joining Help Desk because the class involves using, fixing, and understanding technology. Since I find working with technology enjoyable, the class will help me gain more knowledge about it. Technology is starting to become more important to our lives, so learning about it could also help me when I am an adult. I hope to learn how to fix any problems that occur on the iPads and make new memories. In the future I hope my career ends up being an engineer. I also enjoy hanging out with friends and family.

Shawn Scott

Hello, my name is Shawn Scott, I am currently a Junior at BHS and this is my second year in Help Desk. My current interests are watching/playing soccer, video games, and listening to music. My favorite soccer teams are the New England Revolution, Bayern Munich, the US National team, and the German National team. Some of my favorite video games include Halo, Destiny, Minecraft, Call of Duty, Grand Theft Auto, Hoi4, and many others. The reason I rejoined Help Desk is because I’m very interested in technology and how it works. Also another reason is that I’m the go-to guy when it comes to needing help with tech or computers in my family/friend group and I can include the rest of the school by rejoining Help Desk. My career interests are in technology, whether it be working on a video game in a AAA developer or with an indie developer, programming software, or even coding a website. Some other things about myself are that I love college hockey, I’m decent at editing videos, and my favorite animal is dogs, especially Golden Retrievers and German Shepherds.

Anthony Semeraro

My name is Anthony Semeraro. I am a senior at Burlington High School and my interests are playing sports and hanging out with friends. The reason I decided to join help desk is because I usually run into some problems with technology and I’m also willing to help anybody who has technical difficulties. I’m interested in being in the fitness industry sometime in the future.

Luke Shannon

My name is Luke Shannon I am a part of the class of 2020 and I am very interested in the gaming side of technology and also interested in coding for AI. I am interested in gaming because I have been gaming for as long as I can remember and it’s had a huge impact on who I am today. I am interested in coding because I feel as though there are many job opportunities in the field and it is a good skill to have. My career interests are mostly military-based and I am not sure what I want to do yet. Some interesting facts about me are that I play hockey and lacrosse. 

Robert Smith

Hi, I’m Robert Smith. I’m a sophomore and this is my second year in Help Desk. I have two brothers, one sister, and a dog. It has been exciting to learn new things about technology and get to know new people within the class. I play hockey and I am really good at video games although, I am not a video game nerd, just pretty good at them. I spend most of my time using technology and teaching a lot about technology. I am looking forward to continue learning and helping people who don’t understand a lot about technology, new things about it, and what the benefits are from using technology and the Internet. I am most interested in becoming a police officer. I want to become a police officer so I can help provide for my family and help my family with needs. I originally joined Help Desk because I was interested in the technology part, and my brother recommended it to me. I have always been into and know a lot about technology and stuff with robots. Mainly just knowing if something was wrong with it and even being able to fix it sometimes. This has been the perfect opportunity to learn more and spread my knowledge with technology.

Joseph Vigliotta

I’m Joseph Vigliotta, a senior at Burlington High school. I have a dying passion for travel and experiencing our world. This is my first year in Help Desk. I joined the Help Desk because I have always had an interest in technology because I played video games as a kid. I also have a drone and getting the chance to work on drones in school seemed very interesting. I run cross country and distance track all year and I love the sport of baseball. When I am older I see myself in a job in finance or real estate. I feel my time doing Help Desk will be fun interesting and insightful.

Cameron Washisko

Hi, I’m Cameron Washisko I am a Senior at Burlington High School. I like to mess around with PCs and play video games. I’m also interested in building PCs. I decided to join Help Desk because I like, and am good at helping people (thus why I chose Help Desk). I also think that it is important that everyone in the building has the same service as one another to get their highest potential in the classroom. I also joined Help Desk to boost my knowledge in new technology that will be big in my life in the future. In the upcoming future I’m interested in pursuing some type of business major when I’m in college. Something I also could do is something in computer science. Things to know about are I’m an only child. I love to be active whether that’s working in the gym or playing basketball with my friends. I’m a hard worker in and out of the classroom. Lastly, I have been working a Dunkin’ Donuts for the past three months so I have experience helping people. I’m excited to expand my knowledge on technology and to help my peers.

Derek Webb

My name is Derek Webb and I am a senior this year at BHS. I am interested in programming as well as information privacy and cyber security. I have always had an interest in technology and I am interested in learning more about building larger applications. I joined Help Desk because I thought it would help me develop these skills as well as give me hands on practice in building applications. My.other hobbies include video games, music production, and playing guitar. My goal is to work in cyber security.

AJ Welch

Hello, my name is AJ Welch. I like video games and I’m interested in computer software and hardware. I wanted to join the help desk because it seemed like a cool opportunity to learn about computers that now play a big role in modern life. 

In the future I’m thinking about playing hockey in college. The colleges that I’m aiming for are Boston College, Boston University, Merrimack, or Northeastern university. Another career choice that I’d be interested in is video game designing. I was born in the 2000s so I have been exposed to many fascinating technology and ways to spend my time, creating something Like that would be interesting. A few interesting facts about me are I am good at yo-yoing, also I have won over $200 in esport tournaments.I am class of 2023 so I am almost 15 and a freshman. 

Kevin Weng

I’m Kevin Weng, and this year I’m a senior at Burlington High School. I decided to enroll in the Help Desk class because I was recommended it from my fellow friends that have also taken the course in the past. They told me through their experience that they enjoyed their time in the class, as well as the environment that is presented in the classroom. Not only did they enjoy their time but there was great feedback on the amount of technical information that they have taken from the course itself. With all this positive information I keep my hopes high when it comes to learning from Mr. Wong, as his previous students feedback is impacted by how hard he works to teach and keep the classroom fun and exciting for everyone. As of right now, I do not know what kind of field I would like to pursue in the future and I hope that by taking courses like these that one day it will spark my interest in pursuing that department. For my entertainment, I often like to kill time by play video games like Fortnite and Counter Strike Global Offensive. 

Kenan Wilson

My name is Kenan Wilson, I am a senior at Burlington High School and my interests include technology, staying active, and hanging out with my friends. I have always had an interest in technology over the years. I’ve done multiple projects in the technology field as well as always helping friends and family with tech-related issues. In Help Desk, I hope to increase my knowledge on technologies and processes to fix related issues. I have stayed active by running and playing sports throughout my life including soccer, basketball, lacrosse, gymnastics and finally track my senior year. I have always used technology for education purposes, when given the choice of pencil and paper or the iPad I have always chosen the iPad and have enjoyed learning with them since 5th grade. I hope to learn a lot in Help Desk.
